I guess that was my point: there is nothing truly original anywhere.... all artistic expression has some basis on previous expressions - art is not created in a vacuum. So if a hand was referenced here or a shrub was referenced there - heck, even if they were copied outright - there are bigger fish to fry that take whole works and try to pass them off as their own.

My work has already been stolen and submitted as others' works. I do not lose sleep over it. If I see another artist whose works have been stolen, I will inform them and let them do what they want to about it. I do my art for fun, and if someone else steals it, it does not keep me awake at night. Any praise they get for submitting anothers' work is hollow at best. If you really don't want something stolen, don't post it online... it WILL be stolen eventually.
Is it safe to assume that you have compiled all of this information previously and gotten banned from dA before, only to return again under another username to troll again? Yes, I thought so.... And eventually you will end up banned again.

Create something worthwhile, instead of destroying something else. But make sure it is 100% original: don't you dare use any other body parts or colors or anything that has been used elsewhere without giving proper credit for it. Because if you try to use a pose or a hair or a light source or anything else that has been used by someone else previously without crediting the creator of that color or arm or hair, you are stealing their work, and that is wrong.

dA can police it's own deviations, and does not need you to spam all the rest of us. If you have a problem, report it. If it is LEGITIMATE, it will be removed by someone that has that authority. Otherwise, what you are doing is just making people laugh at you, instead of whatever it is you were trying to do.

(feel free to reply again - the last one was very entertaining)

My previous comment was ironic, because that is exactly what makes cris ortega: use our work for her benefit. Do not worry that I would never use your work, my conscience is clear.
If Deviant Art is a community of artists, why force me to register to comment?
If Ortega has a clear conscience, why remove the links to the evidence? Was she not proud of her work?
All material on this site is public. [link]

I'm not a troll or spammer, I'm just a defrauded customer that has spent my money on this crap, and later learned that EVERYTHING is copied and pasted, stolen from other illustrators.
oh.. you're just created to spam a wonderful artist?
New troller new fun.. but get a life girl or boy?
Our wonderful artist you trolled isn't that tracer like *TenshiNoFuu
Hey. I must say I'm no way related to the person who created this deviant gallery, but I guess there's both right and wrong in Mirandadis and Dark-spider actions. I don't think making a gallery in the one and only aim to say someone copied other artists is good, though neither do I think that using references and pieces of others' works is great.

Before you get angry with me, please let me a chance to explain myself, ok? First, for me, if the only aim of Mirandadis's deviantart is to tell the world one artist "stole", (as I guess that's what he/she meant, and as long as I won't know for sure what really happened, I won't judge), some pieces of art, that's stupid.
Deviantart is certainly not Facebook, and I hate to see anyone that would take it as such. We're not on fucking twitter, or blogs so if you don't plan to send your own stuffs, get away from here. This place is dedicated to arts in each and every way, not to advertising or preventing people.

Second, if dark-spider used references to help herself to draw and didn't mention it, I find it stupid too. Let's see, who never used any reference? Who never used someone's else art to help himself? I don't know a single person who didn't. As long as you say what helped you, that's no stealing.

For me, with the little I 'know', what I find wrong in Cris Ortega's doing is that she doesn't mention anyone else's art as a reference and claimed it as her own. Of course, that's if everything is true. But you have to admit, that's quite puzzling, don't you think, TravisLove?

By the way, one last thing I wanted to tell is that I don't deny that Ortega paints well. If you think so, you did get me wrong. She is skilled, but maybe she should re-think her way to work and mention the art she uses, if everything ends up to be true.
Almost agree with you, and very well said.

Just wanted to point at the fact that Cris Ortega doesn't take "references". She directly copies/pastes fragments from other artists, which is even worse.

If you trully use references, doing the picture BY HAND, it should differ from the original. And nope, Cris' are exactly the same.

I personally don't have any problem with refering from other artists, but c'mon... what's up with her "collage-type" art?

She's an excellent photo-manipulator that should ask permission to the real artists or, at least, mention or credit them.
